What to visit in Jordan - Roman Ruins of Jerash





Jerash is located in the north of Jordan and has well preserved ruins of an ancient roman city. 
It is an amazing time travel.





In these ancient roman city is possible to find: original roman paved streets, temples, theaters, nymphaeum, plaza, baths, hippodrome and much more. 





During the Summer, happens the annual Festival of Culture and Arts.
The event date changes every year. 
Tickets are around 10JD for non-Jordanian.

The ticket is 10 JD for non-Jordanians.






Opening Hours
Summer: 7:30 am - 6:30pm
Winter: 8am - 5pm

During Ramadan it closes at 3:30pm




Best time to go
The best time of the year to go is Spring and Autumn. It's sunny but not cold or hot. However, sunscreen, a hat and a bottle of water are always advised.

I would avoid the arabic weekends - Fridays and Saturdays - as it's normally more crowed.
